When Hope Academy opens in August 2020, it will be the first recovery high school in South Carolina. As a public charter high school for students recovering from substance use disorders, students who attend Hope Academy are about five times more likely to complete high school and remain substance-free than those who return to their old high schools. We call the group of individuals and organizations invested in making this option a reality the Launch Team. We’d love to have you join us!
We provide virtual and live classes year-round to students in grades 9-12 recovering from substance use disorders to ensure they fulfill all the requirements to graduate with a SC diploma. We also facilitate a lifetime of recovery through our trained faculty, on-site meetings, recovery coaches, and access to licensed addiction counselors. We believe students must be in a supportive Community and learn to Articulate their needs and feelings before they can experience lasting Recovery and fully engage in their Education.
We’ve tried to answer the major questions parents, students and volunteers have, but, if not, feel free to ask as many as you’d like.
